Windows app!

I know they used to have one. Would love a Windows app as I only have an iPhone! If "Shot Designer" can have an app that works on both iPhone and Windows, so can Scriptation! Upvote if you're a Windows user :P

Why no windows users

I am very fortunate and was able to get a six month subscription because I won as a dinar to a film. I have seen demonstrations of scriptation and have absolutely wanted to get it for myself. Now that I have it, it turns out that you have to have a Mac product to run it. I am a lifelong Windows user. I build my own PCS and I edit from my own computer. I literally invested money in a brand new tablet thinking I was going to be installing scriptation on it and paying for license after this 6 month license ran out. This is very unfortunate and I understand why a company would purposely choose to eliminate an entire user group. Even Apple products use Windows based systems as part of their entire build platform in their factories.

Just now I happened upon a page, "pcmacstore-dot-com" (can't paste URLs here) "/en/software/1094587086/scriptation-pdf-for-film-tv" that claims to have a Windows version of Scriptation available for download. Needless to say, I didn't click on the download link.

Is there a Windows version of Scriptation available, or in the works? It would be fabulous to have that option. Thanks!

Hi DGBene! Unfortunately, this webpage has inaccurate information in stating that Scriptation is compatible with Windows. The information that states it's compatible with Windows is likely an artifact from when there previously was a Scriptation for Windows app. However, the differences between Apple and Windows made it too resource intensive for us to support the PC version, and Scriptation for Windows was sunsetted on March 1st, 2021.

While Scriptation for Windows is no longer available, we're not entirely opposed to bringing it back if there's enough demand for it! The best way to make sure that happens is encouraging others to comment and vote on this other post on our Feature Request here!
